BlockBeats news, December 5, social media platform “X” has been fined €120 million by the European Union for violating content regulations. The European Commission stated that X has violated three provisions of the Digital Services Act, and has given X 60 days to provide a solution and 90 days to implement corrective measures. The EU’s ruling targets X’s blue check verification, lack of advertising transparency, and issues regarding researchers’ access to data. The EU’s technology chief said that it was not the EU’s intention to impose the maximum fine on X; the amount of this fine is appropriate and was determined according to the nature of the violations and the impact on EU users.
