Jin10 data reported on October 22 that the American financial website investinglive stated that although communication between Russia and the United States has increased recently, there has been no substantial progress. Even though the heads of state of the U.S. and Russia met face-to-face in Alaska, no significant breakthroughs were achieved, as there remain huge differences in the positions of both Russia and Ukraine regarding negotiations. In terms of territorial disputes, Russia's demands have not changed much in recent months. The Russian side insists on controlling the entire Donetsk region, and although reports indicate small concessions in parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, Ukraine has firmly rejected such conditions. There has also been little progress on the issue of neutrality. Russia continues to demand that Ukraine not join NATO, limit the scale of its armed forces, and adopt a fully neutral and demilitarized status. Meanwhile, Ukraine insists on its sovereign rights to choose its alliance system and station foreign troops. In short, the prospects for peace remain bleak. The highly anticipated meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Rubio has been postponed this week, which undoubtedly adds to the difficulties.
