Billions of dollars in cash flowed into cryptocurrency exchanges ahead of the Fed decision.
The Fed is expected to make its first interest rate cut of 2025 this evening. While markets are looking at a certain 25 basis point cut, the statements of the institution's president Powell will be more important than the decision itself. In the last 36 hours, there has been a cash influx into cryptocurrency exchanges in light of Powell's potential for making positive statements.
9 billion dollars entered the exchanges
According to the information provided by Axel Adler, one of the well-known analysts of the on-chain analysis platform cryptoQuant, and the graph shared by him, there has been an inflow of over 9 billion dollars in stablecoins to exchanges in the last 1.5 days, which is 36 hours.
As is known, stablecoins appear to be an easy way to access the US dollar worldwide, but they serve as cash for crypto investors.
These entries are a clear indication that investors have prepared in advance to be able to make purchases in a short time in anticipation of Powell possibly displaying a positive stance…
If Powell makes statements indicating that the Fed will continue its interest rate rebates and adopts a dovish stance, cryptocurrency prices could rise. It seems that investors and traders prefer to keep cash in exchanges where liquidity is high to not miss this train.
