#Gate13周年 #我与Gate的故事
My Journey with Gate 13 Years of Trust, Growth, and Transformation
Back in 2018, I opened Gate for the very first time. At that moment, Bitcoin had already experienced dramatic cycles, and the entire financial world was echoing one dominant narrative: blockchain is not just innovation—it is a structural shift in how value moves globally. I was simply an ordinary investor at that time, driven more by curiosity than conviction, yet that single step quietly marked the beginning of a long and meaningful journey.
My first transaction was Dogecoin. It was trading at just a few cents, almost insignificant in price but rich in curiosity-driven appeal. I remember investing into it not because I fully understood valuation models or technical structures, but because I was asking a simple question many beginners ask: what if this works? That question, as it turned out, became the starting point of a long learning curve.
I bought a large amount relative to my capacity at that time, and what followed was not just an investment experience, but a psychological education. I checked prices constantly, reacted emotionally to every small movement, and slowly learned that markets do not reward urgency—they reward discipline. Over time, I entered cycles of buying, selling, re-entering, and holding. The Dogecoin itself eventually became less important than the mindset it helped me build.
The most valuable lesson from that early period was not profit or loss, but behavioral awareness: the market exposes emotional weakness faster than it creates financial outcomes. Patience, consistency, and emotional control became far more important than prediction or timing.
As I became more familiar with Gate’s ecosystem, my interaction with it evolved. What started as uncertainty gradually turned into fluency. Order placement, chart reading, portfolio tracking, and risk awareness became part of a routine rather than a challenge. The platform itself felt less like a tool and more like an environment I was growing within.
Then came the phase that made the journey feel dynamic and engaging—new listings, launch events, and airdrops. I still remember the first time I received an airdrop. The amount was not life-changing, but the experience was. It carried a psychological weight far greater than its monetary value. It felt like recognition—not just participation in a market, but inclusion in a system that occasionally rewards engagement and presence.
That sense of surprise turned into motivation. Every new campaign, whether Launchpool, CandyDrop, or Hodler rewards, became less about opportunity chasing and more about ecosystem participation. Over time, these events became milestones—markers of time passing, markets evolving, and personal growth continuing in parallel.
Now, looking back across eight years—nearly 2,787 days—the number itself feels almost abstract. It is not just a timeline; it is a record of transformation. From a beginner reacting emotionally to price swings, to someone gradually understanding structure, cycles, and strategy, the evolution has been continuous and subtle rather than sudden.
Gate, during this period, was not just a platform in the background. It became a constant environment where learning, experimentation, and adaptation happened in real time. Markets changed, narratives shifted, technologies evolved—but the continuity of access and participation remained stable.
Thirteen years as a platform is not simply a milestone. In an industry defined by volatility, uncertainty, and rapid disruption, longevity itself becomes a form of credibility. Sustaining innovation while maintaining user trust is not easy—it requires resilience, adaptation, and consistent delivery over time.
As I reflect on this journey, I realize something important: investing is not only about capital growth, but about personal evolution. The real return is not always measured in price charts, but in perspective, discipline, and decision-making maturity developed over time.
Today, I do not view this journey as a series of trades or opportunities. I view it as a long-term relationship with an evolving ecosystem—one that has witnessed both learning and unlearning, both mistakes and progress.
To Gate, on its 13th anniversary, this is more than a celebration. It is recognition of continuity in an industry that rarely offers it.
Wishing continued growth, resilience, and innovation in the years ahead.
And as for the journey itself may the next chapter be even more informed, more disciplined, and more meaningful than the last.
Happy 13th Anniversary.
