Those who read better books participated in the imperial examinations to become officials and be above others. Those who read poorly just scrape by to get by, and that's all. Among people, we have always been unable to learn how to coexist equally. That’s why even today, we still clash with modern civilization. Only by integrating into world civilization can the nation have hope. Although dynasties have changed repeatedly, the principles Xu Zhimo spoke of still hold true.
