Top 10 Blockchains By Developer Activity This Week

The blockchain sector has witnessed a substantial drop in developer activity over the week. However, Ethereum has maintained its top position as the leading blockchain in terms of developer activity, with BNB Chain and Polygon following it. As per the data from Santiment, the other notable blockchains of the week based on developer activity include Arbitrum, Cosmos, Optimism, Solana, Avalanche, Cardano, and Harmony. Overall, the developer activity on these blockchains presents a mixed performance.

Ethereum Leads Top Blockchains of Week Based on Developer Activity with 9.2K Events

Particularly, Ethereum is still the leader in the blockchain sector when it comes to developer activity. In this respect, Ethereum has witnessed 9.2K events related to developer activity this week, displaying a 27.54% deceline. Additionally, it saw 70 contributors, expressing a 92.75% decrease. In addition to this, BNB Chain claims the 2nd place among the dominating blockchains in line with the developer activity, witnessing 4.7K developer activity events and 25 contributors, denoting 12.39% and 95.41% dips.

Simultaneously, Polygon has recorded 4.1K developer activity events over the week, displaying a 10.78% drop. In the meantime, it witnessed 15 contributors, showing 96.17% decrease. Additionally, Arbitrum’s 3.4K developer activity events of this week underscore 4.95% decline, while its 17 contributors account for a 94.62% drop.

In the meantime, Cosmos has seen 3.3K developer activity events throughout the week. As the only one of the top blockchains recording an increase in developer activity, Cosmos presents a 3.3% rise. Along with that, Optimism has experienced 3.3K developer activity events, with a 12.38% dip. Additionally, Solana’s 3.2K developer activity events display a 14.87% plunge.

Harmony Bottoms List with 2.6K Developer Activity Events

According to Santiment, Avalanche is the 8th top blockchain in the case of developer activity during the past week. So, the blockchain has witnessed up to 3.1K developer activity events, with a 14.55% slump. Moreover, Cardano’s 2.6K developer activity events throughout the week signify an 11.44% dip. Ultimately, Harmony is the last on the top-10 list of blockchains according to developer activity. Therefore, it saw 2.6K events, presenting a 3.09% decrease over the week.
