OpenAI acquires the domain name Chat.com from the founder of HubSpot for $15.5 million.

Jinse Finance reported that OpenAI has acquired the domain name Chat.com, which originally belonged to Dharmesh Shah, the co-founder and CTO of Hubspot. Previously, the domain name was sold to an undisclosed buyer for $15.5 million. Now, users visiting Chat.com will be redirected to OpenAI’s AI chatbot, ChatGPT. It is reported that Shah initially purchased the domain name for personal use, but later realized that it was a domain name that was very suitable for OpenAI, so he chose to sell it to OpenAI.
