WisdomTree is expanding its tokenization activities to the Solana blockchain, adding this network to the list of platforms supporting the company’s real asset (RWA) products. This move allows both institutional and retail investors to mint, trade, and hold the entire WisdomTree tokenized fund portfolio directly on Solana.
The New York-based asset management firm, known for its ETFs, stated that the products will be deployed through two platforms, WisdomTree Connect and WisdomTree Prime. This is part of WisdomTree’s broader multi-chain strategy, as more traditional financial institutions are bringing products onto the blockchain to meet the increasing demand for tokenized money market funds, equities, and fixed income products.
After integration, WisdomTree’s tokenized funds will operate natively on Solana. Institutional clients using WisdomTree Connect can mint, hold, and manage their tokenized fund positions directly on-chain. Meanwhile, individual users on WisdomTree Prime can deposit USDC, purchase tokenized funds without reverting to traditional banking systems, and store assets in a self-custody wallet.
WisdomTree stated that expanding to Solana reflects a focus on real assets managed within a clear legal framework in the on-chain ecosystem. This trend also aligns with the wave of traditional asset management companies participating in tokenization, with the expectation that blockchain infrastructure will help shorten settlement times, increase accessibility, and open new distribution channels for regulated financial products.
