U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to comment on President Donald Trump’s May 22 memecoin party and did not answer whether the guest list should be released for transparency reasons. He said he “didn’t know anything about the party” and was busy passing a $1.6 trillion budget package. Meanwhile, 35 Democrats have asked the Justice Department to investigate the party on suspicion of foreign investment in violation of the anti-bribery law and the constitution’s emoluments clause. Some of the prominent guests include Justin Sun, Sheldon Xia, and Kain Warwick – all major investors in the TRUMP token.
