Two cryptocurrency project leaders from the IRS are leaving under a delayed retirement plan.

According to Gate.io News bot, CoinDesk reported that Seth Wilks and Raj Mukherjee, leaders of the encryption project at the IRS, officially left their positions this Friday. The two had previously worked in the encryption industry and joined the IRS in 2024, mainly responsible for developing encryption tax policies and participating in the development of the new 1099-DA tax form. This departure is based on the government’s “DOGE Deferred Departure Program”.
