Over the past year and a half, the Israeli army’s battles in Gaza, the West Bank, the Jordan Valley, Lebanon, Syria, and the Sinai Peninsula have “exceeded the limits.” Bennett stated that the Israeli army is currently short of 20,000 soldiers. He called on the government to further lift restrictions on recruiting ultra-Orthodox Israeli Jews to help alleviate the pressure on other reserve soldiers.
