CoinShares: The production costs of Bitcoin miners are expected to rise significantly in Q4 2024.

Gate.io News bot message: According to the latest research report released by CoinShares, the production costs for Bitcoin miners have shown a significant rise in the fourth quarter of 2024. The data shows that the weighted average cash cost of producing a single Bitcoin for listed miners rose from $55,950 in the third quarter to $82,162, an increase of 47%. During the same period, the average production cost reached $75,767, a month-on-month rise of 35%.

The report indicates that despite rising costs, most mining machines maintain profitability. However, after accounting for non-cash costs such as depreciation and stock-based compensation, the total average cost reaches $137,018.
