Asset management company Teucrium Investment is officially launching the XRP ETF today in the US as an (exchange traded fund). The fund, presented under the name Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF, will reflect the daily price performance of XRP with double leverage.

In the statement on the company’s official website, it is stated, “If you have a strong short-term forecast for the XRP price, you can consider our Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF product.”

The ETF will be launched today on the New York exchange and will have an annual management fee of 1.8%. Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg’s senior ETF analyst, stated that this ETF will be the first XRP ETF in the market, remarking, “It’s strange for the first ETF of a new asset to be leveraged. The spot ETF has not yet been approved, but the likelihood of approval is quite high.”

As Balchunas pointed out, the XRP spot ETF, which the market is eagerly awaiting, is still in the decision phase. The SEC is expected to likely approve the XRP spot ETF in the coming months.

Today, as the first XRP ETF is set to launch, there is another significant announcement from Ripple. The company announced that it has acquired the brokerage firm Hidden Road for $1.25 billion. Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, stated that this deal presents an unparalleled opportunity for crypto to gain access to the largest and most trusted traditional markets.
