Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is confident that the firm's dollar-linked cryptoasset will become one of the leading stablecoins by the end of the year, after the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dropped its lawsuit against the payments platform.

In a recent #interview , Garlinghouse said that RLUSD, which was launched in December 2024, will become one of the top 5 stablecoins after the regulator dropped charges against #Ripple Labs for allegedly violating the securities law. Garlinghouse believes that the stablecoin sector is poised for tremendous growth in the coming years. We are still very small, but our goal is to have RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, in the top five in the market by the end of the year, and I believe the entire market will grow significantly this year. earlier this week, the SEC announced the dismissal of a case against Ripple Labs regarding the alleged sale of unregistered securities, which sparked the rise of #XRP , a digital asset linked to the company.
