Ark Labs has launched the beta version of the native Layer 2 Arkade on Bitcoin.
According to BlockBeats on October 21, The Block reported that after two years of development, Ark Labs, supported by investors such as Draper Associates, Axiom, and Fulgur Ventures, officially launched the public beta version of Arkade, a native Layer 2 on Bitcoin. Arkade is based on the Ark Protocol specification proposed in 2023, and its launch marks the first Mainnet realization of this concept. Arkade virtualizes Bitcoin's transaction layer through Virtual Transaction Output (VTXO), which is an off-chain representation of Bitcoin's native Unspent Transaction Outputs (UTXO). The operation of Arkade does not require modifications to Bitcoin's Consensus rules and is fully implemented within the existing security framework.
