Mythical Games, a Web3 game studio known for successful titles like NFL Rivals, announced that it will globally launch its new FIFA-themed mobile game "FIFA Rivals" in June.

Mythical Games, which stands out among Web3-based game projects with its remarkable partnerships and successful productions, is again making bold moves with its football-themed game created in collaboration with FIFA. In a statement made in November, it was announced that "FIFA Rivals" would be available on Apple and Android platforms in 2024. In an announcement shared on the X platform on Wednesday, Mythical Games stated that the game's pre-launch would take place in May and that it would be globally released in June, coinciding with the FIFA Club World Cup.

Mythical Games has managed to attract investors' interest in recent years. In 2021, it raised 150 million dollars in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), increasing the company's valuation to 1.25 billion dollars. Among the company's investors are names like Cathie Wood, the founder of ARK Invest, Animoca Brands, PROOF, Stanford Athletics, and MoonPay.

Mythical Games has successfully attracted mainstream players through partnerships with top-tier sports organizations like NFL and FIFA, unlike other Web3 game studios. The company’s most popular game to date, “NFL Rivals,” had reached approximately 3 million players by the end of 2023.

FIFA is not the first initiative in the Web3 space. Previously, FIFA had offered innovative opportunities such as ticket guarantees for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final match by releasing digital collectibles. Mythical Games also announced the mobile game “Pudgy Party,” which will be launched in 2025 as a result of its collaboration with the popular NFT collection Pudgy Penguins.
