Heavy Criticism Came for Ethereum (ETH) from the Founder of Cardano (ADA)! "Gave 15 Years!"
Ethereum (ETH) although it is currently far from its nearly 5 thousand dollar ATH in 2021 and has drawn attention with its weak performance lately, it continues to be the second largest cryptocurrency in the market with its strong stance for years.
While ETH is struggling against many competitor altcoins in this process, many names are saying that they will not be able to survive.
Finally, one of these was Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson.
The founder of Cardano recently compared E*thereum to BlackBerry in an AMA session, claiming it could disappear in 15 years.
Charles Hoskinson compared Ethereum to Blackberry, a smartphone manufacturer that once disappeared due to the success of Apple's iPhone.
At the same time, Hoskinson, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, stated that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) did three things wrong.
According to Hoskinson, Ethereum is found to have the wrong protocols in the first place. Hoskinson "They have the wrong accounting model, the wrong virtual machine, and the wrong consensus model. The current protocol that Ethereum uses for its proof of stake is wrong" said.
Secondly, he criticized Ethereum Layer-2s and argued that these projects are taking away from Ethereum's economy and main chain activity. The founder of Cardano, who described L2s as parasites for ETH, stated, "L2s will continue to absorb the entire alphabet from the main chain. Eventually, L2s will stop fighting and it will become increasingly difficult for Vitalik to hold them together."
Hoskinson also stated that there is no robust on-chain governance system needed to effectively address the issues pointed out by the Ethereum Foundation.
Hoskinson claimed that for all these reasons, users would eventually migrate to other platforms and that Ethereum would not survive in the next 10 to 15 years.
