Pi Network announces the Mainnet migration roadmap
Pi Network has announced an expansion update detailing the roadmap for moving to Mainnet and explaining the tokenomics and mining process. The process of moving the Mainnet is a complex and large-scale operation, involving the transfer of Pi balances for tens of millions of users over more than six years. Unlike the simple airdrops conducted by most other cryptocurrency projects, the movement of Pi is based on audited mining data and includes protections against fraud and ensures fairness. This project has successfully migrated over 12 million users, marking an important milestone in scalability, especially considering the migration process and the internal KYC provided without incurring any regulatory costs for users. The Mainnet migration roadmap is organized into three main phases depending on the priority level of the network. First move: The first stage is to move current users in the queue. It includes verified base mining rewards, Security Circle rewards, lock rewards, utility application usage rewards, and confirmed Node rewards. Second transfer: After completing the initial phase, the network will transfer the referral bonus. This bonus is only awarded when the referred team members have successfully completed KYC. Periodic movement: In the final stage, Pi Network will transition to periodic movement cycles of ( monthly or quarterly ), gradually transferring all rewards and unpaid bonuses to the user's Mainnet wallet. Pi Network explains that "transferable balance" available on the app is simply a basic calculation used to save computational load. The actual amount transferred to the Mainnet wallet is usually larger than the calculated amount, as it is computed through extended calculations of mining behavior and rewards over the years. The network also specifies its tokenomics: out of a total supply of 100 billion Pi, 65% is allocated for community mining rewards, 10% for the platform, 5% for liquidity, and 20% for the core team. These reserves increase in proportion to the amount of Pi being moved to maintain a fair and balanced system. Finally, the mining rewards of Pi operate on a decreasing trend over time. Users receive larger rewards by participating through Security Circles, utility applications, and operating Nodes with rewards depending on the gradually decreasing base rate that is contracted each month. In this way, sustainability and decentralization are promoted. In summary, Pi Network is progressing steadily in the process of moving to Mainnet in a fair and secure manner, while maintaining transparency regarding token distribution and mining rewards.
