Why are you losing money when the transaction is profitable?

Reason: Exit Trigger Weakness

You are trading as planned, the price has reached the TP zone. But you are still in the position.

Because there is a voice inside saying: "If I stay a little longer, maybe I can earn not %2 but %3." It is exactly at this point that the system breaks down. And how sad it is that most strategies turn back after reaching the TP point. And you are watching that turn with "psychological stubbornness," aren't you?

So why can't you get out?

Because the dopamine generated when you're in profit conditions you for more after a while. Instead of realizing the TP, you chase the "potential gain." Your brain perceives this not as success but as an opportunity that has been left unfinished. And this perception pulls you away from your strategy.

Statistically Speaking

The overflow rate above the TP point is only seen in 28% of total transactions. However, 60% of traders tend to continue the trade despite the TP. In other words, on average, 70% of those trades where you say "I should stay a little longer" are reversing.

That means: When you keep your position outside of the system, you are not making a profit in the long run, but rather a loss. Once you have determined the TP point, it is no longer a technical matter, but rather up to your discipline.

📌 Small note: In some professional systems, "scaling out" (gradual exit) is performed. This is also part of the system.
