British police accuse two of running a Crypto Assets scam.
Odaily Planet Daily News According to the British police, two men have been arrested and charged with Cryptocurrency fraud, resulting in a retired elderly man in Aberdeenshire in his 75s losing a five-figure sum of money. The male victim reported this fraud in July 2024, prompting an investigation by the Scottish police. Officers from the northeast division went to England yesterday to make arrests in collaboration with the West Midlands and South Yorkshire police. They arrested a 54-year-old man in Coventry and a 36-year-old man in Middlesbrough, both of whom were charged on the same day. In a statement about the arrest, David Williamson, chief detective of the Northeast Division's cybercrime unit, warned the public to "be vigilant against seemingly fraudulent activities and report them to the police".
