AI speech synthesis startup ElevenLabs has announced the closing of an $80 million Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Nat Friedman, and others. The round also included participation from Sequoia Capital, Smash Capital, SV Angel, BroadLight Capital, and Credo Ventures, among others.

ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski said the new funding will be used for product development, expanding ElevenLabs infrastructure and teams, AI research, and strengthening security measures.
