Fed's Logan: The Fed needs to "temporarily keep the interest rate unchanged"

PANews, November 21 news, according to Jin10 reports, Dallas Fed President Logan stated on Friday that during the assessment of the current monetary policy tightening, the Fed needs to “keep the interest rate unchanged temporarily.” In a speech delivered in Zurich, she reiterated her previous point that the Fed's rate cut in October is not reasonable given that inflation remains elevated and the labor market is generally balanced. She stated, “Maintaining the interest rate unchanged for a period of time, without clear evidence to support further easing of the policy, will allow the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) to better assess the constraints of the current policy.”
