The Baoshan District Court (Shanghai) has just conducted a sale of over 90,000 seized Filecoin in a criminal case, under the guidance of the Shanghai High People's Court. This is the first time the city has implemented a liquidation of digital assets.

According to the new mechanism announced by the Beijing police in June, seized tokens will be handed over to a licensed organization for management, which will then authorize an agent to conduct transactions on a licensed crypto exchange in Hong Kong, at a price not lower than the average of 20 days. The entire amount obtained will be transferred to the court's account for deposit into the treasury or returned to the victims.

The Shanghai High Court stated that this move marks the first time the legal system has successfully handled the liquidation of digital assets.
