Buffett announces retirement at the end of the year and comments on U.S. fiscal and trade policies.
According to Gate.io News bot, Wu Shuo reported that Warren Buffett announced his retirement at the end of this year in a statement made in Omaha on Saturday. In the statement, Buffett pointed out that the current fiscal deficit in the United States is at an unsustainable level. Regarding the recent fluctuations in the U.S. stock market, he believes that this is not a severe Bear Market.
Buffett also expressed concerns about the U.S. government’s monetary policy, pointing out the government’s tendency to make decisions that lead to currency devaluation. Additionally, he criticized the current U.S. tariff war, emphasizing that trade should not be weaponized. He stated: “In America, we should seek to trade with other countries around the world. We should do what we do best, and they should do what they do best.”
