According to the Gate.io News bot, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, proposed suggestions for simplifying the Ethereum protocol in the article "Simplifying the L1" for the next five years.
Buterin pointed out in the article that Ethereum should learn from Bitcoin's minimalist design philosophy, simplifying various aspects such as the consensus layer, execution layer, virtual machine compatibility strategy, and shared protocol components. He also suggested setting a maximum line count limit for the protocol, making the Ethereum core protocol more aligned with Bitcoin in terms of simplicity and long-term resilience.
