Media: The White House is "close" to reaching a tariff agreement with Japan and India, but finalizing the agreement may take months.

Jin10 Data, April 23 – According to Politico, the White House is about to reach a comprehensive agreement with Japan and India to avoid the imposition of large-scale tariffs, but they may leave many tricky details for later discussion. Without a comprehensive trade agreement in place, government officials are working to sign what is being called a "memorandum of understanding" or a broad "framework" for future agreements. One insider stated, "Finalizing the agreement could take several months; these matters are very complex."
