【Block Rhythm】An interesting development has emerged. Kite AI recently joined the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) under the Linux Foundation, becoming the organization’s first AI payment project member.
The lineup of this organization is quite impressive—leading AI and blockchain companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Block are all members, along with infrastructure providers such as Microsoft, Google, AWS, Cloudflare, and Bloomberg. Essentially, they’re working together to develop open standards and interoperable infrastructure to prepare for the era of production-grade Agentic AI.
Kite’s positioning is quite clear. They primarily aim to focus on three areas: First, verifiable identity to ensure the authenticity of agent operations; Second, programmable governance to impose rule constraints on AI agent behavior; Third, stablecoin-native settlement using stablecoins as the interaction currency between AI entities.
In essence, they want to enable AI agents to execute tasks and collaborate with each other in the real world while being able to verify who you are and what you’re doing, audit the entire process, and support large-scale interactions. This is indeed a critical problem that needs to be solved for the upcoming Agent era.
