Gate P2P Launches Shield Merchant Service

Gate P2P will officially launch the Shield Merchant Service on September 15, 2025, 6:00 (UTC). This service provides an exclusive certification system and brand endorsement for Shield Merchants. They are required to place a security deposit and undergo rigorous qualification reviews and risk assessments. If users suffer account freezes due to transaction with Shield Merchants (e.g., judicial freezes or other extreme cases), the platform will activate a joint compensation mechanism to protect user funds. This ensures both user fund safety and enhanced merchant credibility, creating a secure and reliable trading environment.

P2P Shield Compensation Rules

• Merchants must provide a security deposit and meet risk control requirements to be certified;
• If users suffer account freezes due to transaction with Shield Merchants, the platform will activate a joint compensation mechanism to protect user funds;
• Compensation is set at 20% of the order amount, with a maximum of 2,000 USDT per order.
