After the standard 1 billion XRP unlock, 700 million tokens were returned to custody, leaving approximately 34.185 billion XRP in a programmatic custody state. This process was briefly accompanied by a misleading on-chain memo that falsely claimed a massive sell-off, which was later identified as a troll exploiting the XRP Ledger text embedding feature.
