🚨 ALERT: Fake Police in France Force Couple to Transfer Nearly $1M in Bitcoin

Scammers posing as police officers reportedly threatened a couple and forced them to send almost $1 million worth of Bitcoin.
This is the latest example of rising “wrench attacks” — where criminals use physical threats and violence instead of hacking to steal crypto.
Stay safe out there. Never give out your seed phrase or transfer funds under duress.

It is recommended that everyone store large assets in multi-signature or time-locked wallets, leaving only a small amount in daily wallets, so that even if faced with coercion, they won't be emptied all at once.

Fake police tricks are so sneaky, they only strike when you're afraid.

Usually, plan the emergency response: make sure family members know how to call the police, how to divide wallet permissions, and which assets need to be delayed before they can be moved.

When faced with coercion, try to delay: claim the wallet is not on you, require multi-party signatures, set transfer limits, and buy time to report to the police or seek help.
