Just caught something interesting about Sandisk that might be worth paying attention to. Ever since they spun off from Western Digital back in February 2025, this stock has been absolutely flying. Someone who threw in $10k at that time would be sitting on roughly $131k now. Pretty wild, right?
Here's what's actually driving this move though. The company makes flash storage products that basically every AI data center needs right now. We're talking about the infrastructure that trains those massive language models and runs all the inference stuff. Demand is so crazy that supply is expected to stay tight well past 2026. TrendForce is predicting NAND flash prices could jump 55-60% this quarter alone. Bank of America analysts are even more bullish, forecasting a 45% revenue increase in 2026 driven by a 26% jump in average selling prices.
The real kicker? Sandisk apparently doubled prices on their enterprise SSDs this quarter because hyperscalers are desperate for inventory. When companies are throwing hundreds of billions at data center buildouts, they'll pay whatever it takes to get their hands on these products. That's why earnings are expected to multiply significantly from last year's $2.99 per share.
Now, the question everyone's asking: can this actually make you a millionaire? Honestly, betting your entire portfolio on one stock is never smart, even if it's hot. But if you're building a diversified portfolio and looking at Sandisk as part of that mix, the math actually gets interesting. The stock is trading at just 16x forward earnings while the Nasdaq-100 is at 25x. Projections show earnings could hit $80.90 per share by next year. If Sandisk trades at that Nasdaq multiple at that point, you're looking at a potential triple from here.
So yeah, it's not too late to look at this one. The supply crunch isn't going away anytime soon, and if you're thinking about building real wealth over time, companies benefiting from AI infrastructure buildout deserve a closer look. Just make sure it fits into a broader strategy rather than being your only bet.
