Sichuan: By the end of 2027, 2.05 million charging facilities will be built across the province.

Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued the “Sichuan Province Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Service Capacity Doubling Action Plan.” The notice states that by the end of 2027, 2.05 million charging facilities will be built across the province, providing over 17 million kilowatts of public charging capacity, and a high-quality charging infrastructure system that is balanced in layout, reasonable in structure, inclusive and shared, and smart and innovative will be basically established. This will meet the charging needs of 4 million electric vehicles and achieve a doubling of charging service capacity. The scale of private charging facility construction will be increased. The main units responsible for new residential area construction shall strictly implement the supporting construction requirements, with 100% of fixed parking spaces equipped with charging facilities or reserved for charging pile installation conditions, to meet the direct metering and power connection needs.
