Anthropic is launching Claude Opus 4.7 and a brand-new AI design tool that can generate websites and presentations through natural language. This move has sparked market panic, causing Adobe’s stock price to drop over 2%.

Anthropic to unveil Claude Opus 4.7 and latest AI design tools this week

According to The Information, Anthropic is entering the AI design market? The report states that Claude Opus 4.7 model and AI tools specifically designed for web design and presentations are expected to be announced as soon as this week.

The latest Claude AI design tools allow you to generate websites, presentations, and product prototypes simply by inputting natural language prompts, competing with Gamma and Google’s Stitch.

After The Information published the report on April 14, the market reacted with concern that AI design might replace existing business processes, leading to a panic. Adobe and Figma’s stock prices fell more than 2%, and Wix was also affected. Previously, when Anthropic launched Claude Cowork, it also triggered SaaS industry panic and impacted several companies’ stock prices.

Claude Opus 4.7 won’t be Anthropic’s strongest model

The Information also pointed out that Opus 4.7 will outperform the currently publicly available Opus 4.6, but it is not positioned as Anthropic’s most powerful model. Currently, the top-performing model is Claude Mythos, which focuses on cybersecurity, but the company does not plan to release it to the public, and it is only available to specific enterprises like Amazon and Microsoft to enhance security.

Anthropic’s development focus is shifting toward enterprise applications. Based on recent attention to AI agents, Anthropic is transforming from a large language model provider into a comprehensive AI studio, enabling Claude to directly build and deploy complete products.

Adobe launches Firefly AI assistant to counter AI disruption

In response to AI competition, Adobe has been actively laying out its strategy. According to TechCrunch, Adobe recently launched the Firefly AI assistant, which is expected to be open for public testing in the coming weeks.

Adobe’s Firefly AI assistant can perform tasks across multiple applications such as Photoshop, Express, and Premiere. Users can control AI-generated content through text prompts and sliders, and the system will provide context-aware options based on the editing project.

Adobe Vice President Alexandru Costin told the media that the biggest advantage of Firefly AI assistant is its integration with existing popular tools, reducing the learning curve for customers to master complex software.

Adobe is also adding multi-step Skills features, integrating third-party AI models like Kling 3.0 into its database, and adding noise reduction features to its video editor to strengthen its market competitiveness.
