Been thinking about where to invest 1000 right now and honestly, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF keeps coming back to mind. You get exposure to 500 major companies for basically nothing - they let you start with just a dollar. Tech stocks have been all over the place lately, but the S&P 500 as a whole is still hanging near all-time highs even with the volatility. That's the thing about broad index funds, right? You don't have to nail the perfect timing or guess which sector will pop off next. Money just rotates between different industries and you're already in all of them. I know everyone wants to find that one stock that'll moon, but if you're looking for something solid where to invest money without overthinking it, diversification through an index fund actually works. Especially when you can throw in a dollar and compound over years. Beats trying to time the market and getting it wrong.
