Golden Finance reports that on April 7, U.S. Senate Banking Committee member Bill Hagerty said on Monday that after months of delays by Congress, he expects that the digital asset market structure could see a viable path forward in the coming weeks.
He said in remarks at a Digital Assets and Emerging Technology Policy Summit held at Vanderbilt University that his Republican colleague lawmakers plan to push the bill for passage in the Banking Committee starting next week.
“I hope we can pull all of this together pretty soon,” Hagerty said when discussing the Senate’s work on the bill. “On the Banking Committee front, I think we’re very close to the goal, and I expect we will submit the bill to the Committee in the next work session beginning next Monday, so that over the next few weeks, we should be able to get it in front of the Banking Committee.”
