Volcano Miner — I Mine Bitcoin Using Lava Heat

My name is Kavi, and I live at the foot of Merapi Volcano on Java Island, Indonesia.
In 2025, I had a sudden idea: volcanic geothermal energy is free, so why not use it for mining? I spent $500 to buy a used mining rig and used geothermal steam from near the volcano to generate electricity. The power is unstable, but on average, I mine 0.0003 BTC per day.

Risks and Rewards
In January 2026, the volcano eruption warning was upgraded, and the government ordered evacuations. I loaded my mining rig and generator onto a handcart and pushed it 3 kilometers to a safe zone. In April, I returned to the volcano. I accumulated 0.12 BTC (about $8,000). The costs were almost zero, but I nearly lost my life.

April Challenge
I posted on Gate Square, live streaming my volcano mining. The comments exploded: “Aren’t you afraid of dying?” I replied, “Yes. But I’m more afraid of being poor.” Someone questioned if I was faking, so I posted a video: the background shows the volcano spewing sulfur gases, and the mining rig is humming. The video was shared 50k times. The Gate official contacted me, saying they would send me a fireproof mining case. $BTC

Now
I exchanged the 0.12 BTC I mined for local currency, bought new safety equipment. I plan to build a geothermal mining shed at the volcano, separated from toxic gases with tempered glass. If successful, I will name the mine “Volcano Mining” and issue NFTs on Gate Square, each NFT representing one hour of mining power. Interested? Proceed at your own risk.
