XRP Chart Reveals Exceptional Whale Activity Amid Rally
During the recent market fluctuation, XRP achieved a notable rebound with an increase of over 3%, raising its price to $1.45. But what interests analysts isn’t just the price movement, but the data recorded on the XRPL ledger that tells a completely different story about institutional interest and strategic accumulation by large wallets.
Serial data from leading analysis platforms provides a clear picture: while most of the market was in fear, large wallets were buying aggressively. This gap between public fear and strategic buying indicates a real shift in market dynamics.
On-chain data confirms strong technical recovery
When Bitcoin reached $60,000 and the market experienced widespread crashes, XRP didn’t collapse as severely. It dropped to $1.15 before reversing direction quickly. What characterizes this rebound is the rapid recovery and relative stability that maintained support levels of a long-term ascending channel.
According to analysis by well-known analyst EGRAG CRYPTO, XRP is moving within a long-term historic ascending channel. During previous bull cycles, traditional corrections retraced about 44-45% before resuming the upward trend. The current retracement follows the same pattern, indicating that the broader technical structure remains intact.
The 21-period exponential moving average has served as a critical pivot point during these corrections. The price is currently holding steady above key support levels, reflecting a balance between bullish and cautious sentiments. This ongoing tug-of-war resets momentum without destroying the broader bullish trend.
Large wallets return to accumulation at the bottom
Data from Santiment reveals exceptional activity by “whale” wallets during the sell-off period. There were 1,389 separate transactions exceeding $100,000 each, marking the largest whale accumulation in four months.
This activity isn’t random — it occurred at the market’s deepest sell point. According to data, large wallets bought heavily when fear was at its peak. Later, the price rebounded 25% from yesterday’s recorded low. XRP’s gains were among the strongest among the top five cryptocurrencies by market cap that day.
This behavior reflects the expertise of major wallets in identifying strategic buy points. When retail traders scream in fear, these wallets act knowingly, accumulating support for the project.
Active XRPL addresses hit six-month high
The surge in large wallet activity was also clearly visible on the XRPL ledger data. The number of unique active addresses reached 78,727 in an eight-hour window — the highest reading in six months. Currently, about 7.7 million different addresses are participating on the XRPL ledger, indicating widespread engagement.
This sudden increase in active addresses is no coincidence. Rising active addresses often signal renewed demand from all trader sectors — retail and institutional alike. This suggests that interest in XRP isn’t limited to large wallets but extends to smaller participants as well.
Institutional capital flows support bullish narrative
While Bitcoin and Ethereum index funds experienced net withdrawals during the decline, the opposite was true for XRP. Data from SoSoValue shows that funds flowing into XRP funds attracted around $6 million in positive net flows during the same period.
This contrast is striking. While investors were pulling out of Bitcoin and Ethereum, they were entering XRP. This indicates that a certain segment of investors — perhaps with longer-term strategic vision — viewed the dip as a buying opportunity rather than a sell signal.
At the same time, consumer accumulation increased, as evidenced by the sudden rise in active addresses on the XRPL ledger. All these indicators collectively point to broad participation across investor categories, not just a limited price rise driven by speculation.
Ripple’s DeFi roadmap opens new horizons for XRP
Alongside technical factors and on-chain data, fundamental structural developments support the bullish narrative. Ripple recently unveiled its ambitious roadmap for institutional decentralized finance on the XRPL chain, with XRP playing a central role.
The plan includes several strategic components: a licensed open exchange, a lending protocol, smart contracts, and secure bridge transfers. These initiatives transform XRP from a mere payment medium into a versatile asset within a full DeFi ecosystem.
The broader vision goes beyond traditional payments. Ripple plans to use XRP as an automatic bridge in foreign exchange and financial transfers, enabling seamless conversions between cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
These plans didn’t come out of nowhere. They follow Ripple’s success in obtaining full licensing from major European regulators to operate in the digital assets space. This license enhances XRP’s role in organized payment flows within Europe. With increased institutional access, use cases for XRP continue to expand and grow.
Conclusion: On-chain data tells a story of real stability
Multiple data sources — from the XRPL ledger to institutional fund flows — tell a consistent story. This isn’t just a fleeting price movement but a reflection of genuine confidence from large wallets, institutional investors, and retail traders alike.
The solid technical structure, combined with exceptional whale activity, steady active addresses, and positive financial flows, forms a strong foundation for future growth. When you add Ripple’s ambitious plans for DeFi and increasing regulatory recognition, XRP’s outlook for the coming period appears robust.
A 3-4% rise may seem modest on the surface, but it reflects a deeper shift in market dynamics that can be clearly tracked through on-chain data.
