Breaking News | Multiple Countries Do Not Immediately Respond to Trump's "Strait of Hormuz Escort" Appeal

On March 15, according to media reports, in response to Donald Trump's call for multiple countries to dispatch naval vessels to the Strait of Hormuz to conduct escort missions, France, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom have each responded, but none have explicitly stated they will immediately deploy ships to participate.

Current positions of various countries are as follows:

• France: Explicitly stated it will not dispatch vessels, saying the French carrier and task force will continue to be deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.

• Japan: Stated it will not dispatch ships solely due to Trump's appeal; Japan will independently decide whether to take action based on its own judgment.

• South Korea: Presidential office stated it will "carefully consider" and maintain close communication with the United States.

• United Kingdom: The Ministry of Defense stated it is discussing a range of options with allies and partners to ensure maritime security in the region.

Media pointed out that based on current public statements, no country has explicitly announced a response to the U.S. call to dispatch ships for escort operations.
