Cryptocurrency Investment Firm Paradigm Plans to Expand Its $1.5 Billion Fund into AI and Robotics
Venture capital firm Paradigm is preparing a new $1.5 billion fund targeting artificial intelligence, robotics, and other emerging technologies.
This move is seen as the clearest step yet beyond the crypto sector, which the company credits for its reputation.
According to sources familiar with the plan and reported by The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco-based investor will continue supporting blockchain ventures while also branching into adjacent sectors.
Paradigm plans to rely on its existing technical investment team rather than establishing a separate unit to identify opportunities in these pioneering technologies.
Paradigm Manages $12.7 Billion Following Record Crypto Funds
According to official records, the company manages approximately $12.7 billion in assets.
Previously, the company launched a $2.5 billion flagship fund in November 2021, which was the largest private crypto fund at the time.
