OpenAI officially partners with the U.S. Department of Defense to replace Anthropic Claude
On February 28, OpenAI founder Sam Altman announced that OpenAI's AI models will be deployed on military classified networks, replacing Anthropic Claude. OpenAI commits to strict adherence to safety principles: prohibiting large-scale surveillance in the United States and holding humans responsible for the use of force. At the same time, the models will only operate on cloud networks and will be equipped with Functional Enhancement Devices (FDE) to ensure security.
