Bitcoin's short-term (5-10 years) rise is definitely going to happen, and it could reach hundreds of thousands or even one million dollars. But I have reservations about whether it will succeed in the long run.
First of all, AI is definitely the future development trend, and Bitcoin plays a role as a payment system within Web3. As long as Web3/blockchain significantly benefits AI, Bitcoin will undoubtedly have a special use case. If the future societal landscape becomes more atomized, with every household having robots and using AI to handle daily affairs, then it’s very likely that everyone will have their own data, which AI can utilize. In such a scenario, Web3 becomes useful, and Bitcoin can serve as a network digital currency for everyone to trade with each other. Have you noticed? The historical development trend is that technological progress drives the trend toward personalized living. In the past, there was an emphasis on extended families and collective living. With technological development, people move and relocate to different countries. People begin to value individual independence and self-identity. The development of AI naturally reduces human contact (primarily through job replacement), making independent individuals more important. Web3 just happens to meet this demand. But why do I say I have reservations? Because the development of Web3 faces two major issues: 1: Will the ruling elites and authorities be willing to relinquish data monopolies and the ownership of the benefits generated from data? Currently, various AI systems on the market are operated by large corporations, and the profits mostly belong to them. 2: Does extreme personalization mean losing regulatory oversight? Or is there a unique way to balance both without conflict? If the pursuit of personalization ultimately cannot escape centralized control, then it’s just a futile effort. Just like Sun Wukong can fly anywhere but ultimately cannot escape the palm of Buddha’s hand. #我在Gate广场过新年
