Mars Finance reports that on February 9, according to Decrypt, during the 60th Super Bowl LX held on Sunday, Coinbase was the only cryptocurrency company to run a major advertisement. Compared to 2022, when multiple crypto companies participated collectively in the “Crypto Bowl,” the industry’s marketing scale has significantly shrunk this year. Coinbase’s ad lasted one minute and featured karaoke lyrics of Backstreet Boys’ 1997 hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the ad aimed to promote economic freedom and ease polarization through a chorus format. Analysts pointed out that this marketing strategy reflects the cautious attitude of the crypto industry after market reshuffling, shifting focus from early celebrity endorsements and high cashback offers to compliance and trust-building.
