SEC Approval Paves Way for Canton Integration with DTCC Services

DTCC’s partnership with Canton Network comes on the heels of securing a “No-Action Letter” from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, formally authorizing the financial infrastructure operator to launch and manage tokenization services for real-world assets held in DTC custody. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, which serves as the industry-owned clearing and settlement backbone for U.S. financial markets, has chosen Canton as its blockchain partner for this groundbreaking initiative.

The organizations are collaborating toward a minimum viable product (MVP) during the first half of 2026, operating within a controlled production environment. The scope is expected to expand progressively based on institutional demand and client feedback.
