Former PrimeLending officer charged with $1.7 million document fraud
Akwana Raffington, who worked as an officer at the American credit company PrimeLending, has appeared in court for falsifying income documents. The charges indicate that the officer initiated mortgage loans for her close contacts and commercial projects, using inflated data on employment and earnings. This scheme allowed for the allocation of over $1.7 million in mortgage loans.
According to information from NS3.AI and court documents, the officer’s actions violated the company’s corporate policy. As a result of the investigation, Raffington was banned from participating in any activities within financial institutions. This case highlights the need for strict control over the loan issuance process and the verification of document authenticity.
