Here's an intriguing thought: what if we're living inside a simulation? Consider this angle—when we design and run simulations ourselves, we tend to shut down the boring ones. They don't hold our attention, so we just kill them off. By that logic, only the most engaging scenarios get to keep running. Which means if simulations with the most interesting outcomes are the only ones that survive in the long run, we'd expect to find ourselves in one of those interesting realities. Pretty wild to think about when you consider what that implies for our own existence and consciousness.

Simulated universe selection theory, that's quite extreme.

Is this logic a bit crazy? Are we so competitive now because the universe is entertaining itself?

ngl this is just selection bias with extra steps... like watching only the candles that pump and ignoring the wicks. the math checks out on surface level but the oracle problem here is *chef's kiss* - who decides what's "interesting"? that's literally the MEV of reality lmao

Wow, that's some crazy logic. So our current chaotic world is because programmers think it looks good?
