The NFT market has been a bit volatile recently, and I want to share some personal insights.
Don't blindly join alpha small groups, and don't always try to chase the next hot trend. This approach is the easiest to get cut.
Instead of doing that, spend time paying attention to truly tasteful artists and collectors—note, genuine collectors, not those who shout out daily. Follow their footsteps, and you'll naturally discover projects that match your aesthetic and values. The projects you find this way are the ones you truly love, and holding them will give you more confidence. In the NFT space, the sense of discovery is more valuable than FOMO.

nah, the "follow smart money" play only works if you can actually identify who the real collectors are vs the coordinated pump groups posing as tastemakers. most people can't, tbh.

Haha, really, entering the alpha group is like entering a slaughterhouse, my blood and tears history.
That herd mentality really needs to change; the key is to have your own vision.
I agree with what you said about the sense of discovery, but honestly, most people can't tell who is a true collector.
It's really about slowing down and not being blinded by FOMO.
Feels like a good point, but it's hard to implement, brother.
I like this tone, but when I lose even more money and look back at this comment, it will feel even sweeter.
Really, I've seen too many people get caught in alpha by following the herd, and it pains me.

Really, I muted those guys who keep calling signals in the group every day a long time ago. They're so annoying.

Your theory sounds good, but very few people can actually do it.
---
That's right, the alpha group is indeed a trap. I only realized it after being cut.
---
It's not easy to find tasteful collectors; aren't they all mixed in a chaotic circle?
---
Discovering a sense of beauty > FOMO. I need to remember this.
---
The question is, how do you tell who is a genuine collector and who is just hyping?
---
Chasing hot topics is indeed exhausting and easy to get caught.
---
This is the correct attitude, but unfortunately most people are still in a gambler's mindset.
---
This set of aesthetic and value concepts sounds a bit idealistic, huh?
---
Everyone who follows the trend has lost everything. Doesn't anyone learn to be cautious?
---
Honestly, holding onto projects you truly love is much more comfortable.

Wake up, don't get cut again. It's more reliable to follow genuine collectors.

That's right, the alpha group is just a breeding ground for cutting leeks. I quit long ago.
True taste can't withstand scrutiny; you still have to cultivate it yourself.
Chasing hot topics and holding onto what you truly love are two different experiences.
Discovering a genuine feeling > FOMO feeling, this really hit me.
Don't be brainwashed by call signals; see who is truly collecting with care.
Most people can't tell who is an expert and who is just a scalper.
Instead of following the trend, it's better to take your time and find your own path. That way, you'll sleep better.

Exactly, I stopped chasing the latest trends a long time ago. Now I just watch the artists' movements; taking it slow isn't so tiring.
Really, instead of waiting for the next big trend in the group every day, it's better to study the evolution of a creator's work. That's true long-term value.
Recently, I've lost less money because of this mindset and no longer fall prey to FOMO.
