Privacy protection market demand is heating up. As we enter the final sprint toward 2025, ZEC has attracted a surge of institutional investor attention.

From public blockchain data, ZEC's circulating supply is approximately 16.5 million coins, with a total cap of 21 million coins. The price remains stable in the $500-$530 range. Importantly, institutional activity is frequent.

Cypherpunk Technologies has become the largest public holder, currently holding 290,062.67 ZEC (accounting for 1.76% of circulating supply). On December 30, they invested an additional $29 million to acquire 56,418 coins at an average cost of $334.41. This NASDAQ-listed company has explicitly stated its goal to hold 5% of the supply, betting on the future of privacy coins with a treasury strategy.

Institutional involvement extends beyond this. Grayscale's ZEC trust holds about 394,000 coins (2.4%), managing nearly $200 million in assets, and is applying to convert into a spot ETF—meaning traditional investors will soon be able to access ZEC through conventional channels. Reliance Global Group has not disclosed specific numbers but has shifted its entire digital asset treasury into ZEC, with repeated accumulation indicating a firm stance.

On-chain signals are even more interesting. The top 100 addresses control 66% of the supply. Whales have withdrawn large amounts of ZEC from exchanges, and the shielded pool's share has surpassed 30% (over 4.9 million coins), directly reducing market liquidity. Holders include well-known institutions like Winklevoss Capital.

What is driving this wave of enthusiasm? The regulatory clarity brought by the US Clarity Act and record-high adoption of shielded transactions. The market is validating the urgent need for privacy coins.

ZEC's holding structure is evolving rapidly, and ongoing attention to the latest developments is warranted.

ZEC's recent institutional rally, feels like they can't hold back anymore. Is it really about to take off?

Whales are stockpiling, and since the introduction of the Clarity Act, institutions have flocked in. Privacy coins might really not just be hype this time. Cypherpunks are spending 29 million and aiming for a 5% target. This pace is truly aggressive. However, 66% is controlled by top addresses, and this liquidity pressure... newcomers should be cautious. The record high in shielded transactions is quite interesting; the demand for privacy is genuinely present. --- Wait, with the spot ETF passing, traditional investors are flooding in. Is ZEC about to skyrocket? --- Institutions are going all-in on privacy coins one after another. It feels like privacy protection has shifted from a niche demand to a mainstream topic. This Clarity Act really changes the game. --- Top 100 addresses hold 666% of the supply... with such a high degree of centralization, how can they still claim privacy coins? Laughs. --- Grayscale is applying for a spot ETF. If it passes, ZEC might be different. Regulatory friendliness + institutional deployment + urgent privacy needs, the formula is in place. --- Whales are withdrawing orders from exchanges and accumulating. What are they preparing for?

Institutions are really aggressive this time in accumulating ZEC, with Cypherpunk directly aiming for a 5% target... It feels like they are betting on privacy coins making a comeback. --- Is Grayscale also working on an ETF? Then the traditional retail investors' entry timetable might need to be moved up. --- The whale shield pool breaking through 30% is really hard to ignore; everyone is stocking up. --- No hype, no blackening; privacy needs are a necessity, but could it be another scenario where institutions scoop up the chips and retail investors chase high afterward... --- Wait, if the Clarity Act's regulatory benefits really come, whether ZEC can make a comeback is still uncertain.

66% of liquidity is locked, this arbitrage opportunity... and so on, Cypherpunk's target is a 5% holding? That's a pretty bold bet.

Institutions are consolidating ZEC. Is this a genuine belief in privacy coins or just another round of profit-taking? --- Whales are stocking up, retail investors are still debating whether to jump in... --- Grayscale is planning to launch an ETF? Is traditional capital influx still far away? --- Wait, liquidity has been squeezed into the 30% shield pool. That move is a bit harsh. --- I believe in the rising demand for privacy, but the way institutions are acting seems a bit too coordinated. --- Cypherpunks aiming for 5% of the supply—that's quite an ambitious goal. --- Is regulatory clarity really a positive development or just talk? It depends on subsequent actions. --- 66% is held by 100 addresses. Is this concentration meant to manipulate the market or to crash it?

Big institutions are really optimistic about privacy coins. Cypherpunk has already invested 29 million? I need to see if I can still get on board.
