Meta recently announced the acquisition of the general Agent product Manus, which is a project under Butterfly Effect founded by a post-90s team in China, currently operated out of Singapore. This acquisition is very promising. Looking back at history, Meta's bold gamble on Instagram was driven by the recognition of the mobile internet trend, and it proved to be the right move. Now, considering Threads' performance on mobile, its user base continues to approach X, with some data metrics even surpassing it — this indicates that Meta's judgment on platform entry points has never changed. The current bet on the Agent product follows the same logic: whoever can secure the next wave of interaction entry points will hold the discourse power. Tools like Manus, a general AI Agent, are to some extent experimental fields in this direction.
