2025 is about to come to an end. What exactly has the much-anticipated Goat Network been up to this year? Let's take a close look at the core developments of this project.
Speaking of GOAT Network, its core selling point is simply this—Bitcoin-native ZK solutions. This positioning is quite clear, and it has found its place within the BTC ecosystem. Over the course of the year, the project has made significant progress along this technical route, as well as in building an ecosystem around Bitcoin L2, with many noteworthy actions.
From the technical perspective of zero-knowledge proofs, building a ZK system based on Bitcoin is inherently challenging, involving cross-chain interactions, security models, performance optimization, and a series of complex issues. The project's practices and iterations in these areas provide valuable insights for the entire BTC L2 track. In 2025, changes in ecosystem participation, technical metric improvements, and expansion of partners are key indicators to observe the maturity of such projects.

Wow, GOAT has really been working on this for a year. It feels like there's not much progress. The BTC L2 projects are all competing, and it's still researching ZK?
Native ZK for Bitcoin sounds good in theory, but in practice, can it really perform, or is it just another PPT?
Ecosystem engagement is key, but looking at this description, it’s all technical details. Are users really using it?
But on the other hand, focusing on this area isn't a bad idea. The BTC ecosystem is just missing this kind of talent.
There's too much talk on paper; where are the actual implementations? Data speaks for itself.

What exactly did goat do this year? I've been looking for a while but still can't figure out what substantial progress has been made.

To be honest, GOAT this year has been a big scam. The technical roadmap sounds impressive but actually can't run
Suddenly realize that the Bitcoin L2 track is all PPTs, not many real deliveries
Listened to a year of ZK solutions hype, how many people have actually used it on-chain? Laughable
Ecosystem layout? I think it's more about ecosystem leek farming, and the partners are mostly second-tier projects
Who can understand these technical indicator changes? Anyway, I have no real feeling, might as well go all-in on Bitcoin
As for BTC L2, it seems only Starknet and Scroll will succeed, others are just cannon fodder

The Goat project is again holding back a big move here; no one dares to touch the BTC ZK path.
Alright, to be honest, the technical route is clear, but I don't know when the ecosystem will truly take off.
We've been hyping up L2 ecosystem development for a whole year, but it's still the same few partners, and the progress is a bit frustrating.
The combination of ZK + BTC sounds good, but who knows what the actual user experience will be like.
Wait a minute, what exactly are their technical iterations this year? I haven't seen anything particularly special.
