The genital area is darker than our normal skin color even without sun exposure. One reason is that the skin around the genital organs experiences "friction." This doesn't mean friction from sex, but from rubbing against "underwear." Therefore, choose underwear that is not too tight and made of non-abrasive fabric, and avoid wearing overly tight pants.
